The Day I Said I DO

Last July 3, 2022 , Ben and I tied the knot in Mary The Queen Parish Church. It was so surreal that I'd even tag it as wedding of the century due to it being so intimate yet romantic, with a maximum of 25 guests only. It was a very tough decision to keep it small, but it sure was eventful. So here we are sharing some teaser photos of our wedding and some big thanks to our fantastic suppliers.

I chose a Wine Red color for my bridal robe. It's one of the colors that bring out my natural glow.
My glam team is Joan Quizon for MUA and Jana for the hair.  They made me look like a
Chinese Doll even if i did not get enough sleep.  Highly recommended!

My bridal bouquet was designed and customized by Secret Garden Manila.
I went for pastel colors for that vibrant pop of color.

My bridal gown was designed by Jazel Sy. She certainly has an eye for style and fashion.
I walked the aisle with a train of 2 yards and it was a sight to behold.
No wonder many celebrities are under her wing.
She makes every woman turn into royalty.

If there's one thing every bride should remember, it's to spend as much time finding the perfect bridal shoes. A common misconception nowadays is that no one would notice the shoes. Trust me when I say it's a crucial element. It's not only about aesthetics but maximum comfort. I had my bridal shoes custom made by Jean Tumang of IDWS, which simply stands for " I Do Wedding Shoes". Interestingly, Jean, the founder, was a beauty queen and a fashion stylist so it was easy for me to discuss with her the design I had in mind. This is the final product.

I Do Wedding Shoes has various shoe options for every bride to find the perfect fit. I had mine customized in platform heels, parker white color and a lace mesh design. I also went for double memory foam to avoid any kind of blisters. For added support and stability, I also chose block heels. Imagine hearing horror stories from our photographers that a lot of brides cried in the middle of a shoot due to foot pain. Hence, coming from a bride, it is always wise to choose brands that understand the needs of your feet and IDWS is certainly one of them. I also adore the " I DO" gold Vinyl stickers on my shoes. It's such a brilliant add-on.

Here's my twin sister helping me with my bridal shoes. She played a big role especially in the wedding ceremony and I can't thank her enough. I can't believe I was able to survive the whole day with these high heels. If you want some insider tip, I'd suggest packing some white or skin-toned foot socks for added comfort. Keep it handy as you never know when you'd need it.

My shoe shopping saga was not all roses. There was a well known shoe brand I actually had a bad experience with. They were not that accommodating and responsive that I got frustrated and cancelled my order. For me, it's always important to choose a supplier that can help you in the entire design process. From inquiries, to adjustments and simple requests, if they cannot do those, a life lesson is to move on and find a better brand. Hence, that was the time I discovered I Do Wedding Shoes.

This is one of my favorite scenes, my husband and our dog. Such a good capture.

It felt like I was in a Disney Movie the moment the church doors opened. It was filled with beautiful pink flowers and cherry blossoms, designed by Jacqs Floral and a beige carpet from Majestic Events.

I was a bit nervous of any possible mishaps like accidental tripping and the like, but fortunately my bridal shoes helped me walked confidently with grace and stability. By God's grace, the day was perfect. I wouldn't have it any other way. God blessed us with good weather, considering the fact that it was raining the whole week.
