The Dreamer

Today's post brings some nostalgia as this was my graduation dress back then.
I managed to find this thru my stack of clothes in the closet.
You can probably guess how old this dress is.

Little black dresses or LBDs are very good investments.
With the right style and silhouette, they will remain a classic!

Dress from Apartment8

Since I'm no longer a student,
I paired it with some chic heels for a more playful peg.

A big congratulations to the recent graduates of University of the Philippines.
Special mention to Tiffany Grace Uy, Summa Cum Laude of UP.

I may not personally know her but more than the grades she obtained,
I am impressed by her passion to contribute to medicinal research
particularly in the field of breast cancer.

It's not everyday that you get to hear young people talk about service and
love for country and I salute her for that.

If there's one thing I learned in the corporate world as well as in my craft as
fashion blogger, it's that you have to have a lot of heart in what you do.
For one to be successful, one should be consistent and committed.
Always have the end goal in mind, because in that way,
you are reminded of what you want and
that's where you draw inspiration from.

Life is a blessing and we should learn to celebrate and cherish it.

Brighter than the Sun

If there's one color that can make you standout, it's definitely yellow.
Now that school has officially started for the young ones,
here's a little outfit suggestion from yours truly.

Pair a yellow ruffled top with some dainty jeans to keep you
looking fresh and charming all day.

And if you're already working like me,
I suggest changing the color of your pants to something more corporate.
Bring a blazer along just in case it gets a little bit chilly.

Bright colors bring out your natural glow.
So whether you prefer sporting a pair of colored pants

or those basic black jeans yo go with it, you'll always look all dolled up.

Which look do you prefer?

Going Basic

We all have those days when we're too lazy to dressup.
So here are 3 quick tips on how to look fab without you even trying.

The first golden rule is to pick basic pieces.
Whether it's a top and bottom combo or a dress, go for a neutral color.
Colors such as black, beige, gray and white are sophisticated to look at.

Dress from Topping
Flats from Tomato
Sunnies from Fly Shades

The second rule would be to choose a style that fits your personality or mood.
One of my personal recommendation would be sheer fabrics.
It's stylish and sexy, simply perfect for the weather in the Philippines.

Last but not the least, wear a red lippie.
It screams confidence and instantly makes you look all made up.
No wonder it's the weapon of choice of Hollywood celebrities.

Until next time!
