Cruising In Style

What better way to end December but with a beautiful memory of our recent trip to Vietnam. So glad that my family and I was able to unwind after a tiring yet productive year.

I don't travel light. In fact I never do. The fashion blogger in me brought out some of these looks. Which one is your favorite? :)

Our trip was unique because rather than traveling by plane, we reached Vietnam via Cruise. It was such a carefree trip and I must say that staying on board is like living the life of royalty.

Upon boarding, we were briefed on Safety procedures just in case. Hello Life Vest.

Here are some of the things you can do while the Ship is sailing and once you reached Vietnam:

Take a stroll any time you feel like it, but I would say that it's extra magical at night. Make sure to get a room with a balcony. It is a must for you to enjoy your journey.

Trust me. Watch the shows at least once, but if you can, why not do it every night. You'll be amazed with the world-class acts, with themes ranging from romance to drama, to even magic shows.  Some of the shows I got to watch were Love Around the World , Mystical Land , and SPIRITS by Vincent Vignaud.

There are also live music you can enjoy by the Taverna if you want to chill by the bar and enjoy the breeze

I've always been one of the boys when it comes to food.  Imagine, you can eat as much as five times a day, to your heart's delight. Whatever kind of cuisine you're craving for, it's available on-board.

There are inclusive meals , as well as dishes you can pay a little extra for. And when I say you can eat as much as you want, if you're hungry at around 11pm, there's still so much food to satisfy your tummy.

Steak and Seafood Platter

As much as you enjoy the luxurious life on board, make it a point to book some onshore excursions to ensure that you get the most out of your stay in Vietnam. Since you have limited time to explore on your own, best to join the group excursions so that your transportation and must see City Highlights are all taken care of.

So here we are at Ho Chi Minh City. During our first day in Vietnam, we visited the Reunification Palace which served as the presidential home and workplace of South Vietnam.

Here we also got to visit the War Remnant Museum where we got to view fighter planes, tanks and conventional bombs used during the Vietnam War.

In terms of economic losses, North Vietnam was said to have lost 100% of their powerplants, with 200,000 dead and injured.

I enjoyed our second day excursion more since the setting is more chill and very instagram worthy. This is Po Nagar, located in Nha Trang Vietnam.

Can't blame me for being fashion forward; I think I just got myself some fans and haters. A little Tourist shot to mark the territory, lol

If you are into marine life, then you'd enjoy the Institute of Oceanography.

And yes, while in Vietnam, do not forget to try their Pho (Noodles) and Seafood.

Once you're back from your excursions, spoil yourself by getting a full body authentic Thai massage on-board.  Your body will eventually thank you.

If you have an eye for culture and the arts, then a visit to Minh Phuong would be a great idea. You'll find various fine arts and handicrafts that you may want to take home as a souvenir.

You can also opt to listen to some music while visiting Hon Chong Promontory, which also offers a fine view of the Nha Trang coastline.

In our case, this particular masterpiece caught dad's eye and voila, it is now in our office. The stunning art panels are labor-intensive, made from mother of pearl lacquer.

If hitting the gym is not your thing, then why not indulge yourself with either the jacuzzi or swimming pool for some refreshing splash.

Whether you want to clear your thoughts or just need a change of scenery, by just looking at the High Sea leaves you breathless. It's so majestic that you tend to simply live in the moment. The panoramic view of nature gives you so much good vibes. I enjoyed my balcony room so much that I can't help but dance to some music while enjoying the cool breeze.

The last night on ship will be a time where all will be gathered for a dining experience to remember. The Crew will also perform while the guests enjoy their sumptuous dinner.

If you feel like taking a notch higher, then glam up for some pictorial while on-board.

Ladies and Gents, how about some of these?

Whether it be selfies or group shots, best to bring these memories with you. After all, it isn't often that you get to have your hotel lodging on a cruise.

'til the next adventure. Thank you 2018.

Pink Fusion

In just a few more days, we officially welcome the Christmas Season. I can't help but be amazed by how quick 2018 went by. That is why aside from me recommending the look to wear for the Holidays, I'm also sharing some personal thoughts I managed to pickup this year.

First, when it comes to looking your best at Christmas Parties and social affairs, make it a point to choose standout colors such as Pink or Festive colors such as Red, Orange or Gold. In my previous post, I was wearing a hot pink number; for today, we are toning things down with something lighter such as peach or blush pink. These shades don't scream that you're seeking attention, yet effortlessly attracts the crowd to you. Call it subtle yet effective.

After choosing the color, consider the style and cut of your dress. Since I'm on the petite side, I try to choose cuts that elongate my torso to give me a more balanced silhouette. This is where halter or flowy dresses come in.

If you want to add some oomph, then showing just the right amount of skin can do the trick. Complete the look with an eyecatching pair of heels. In my case, I went full bloom and wore floral pumps in a striking color.

The dress I'm wearing was sent by ToSave , an online marketplace where you can shop for various products, from clothes to computer accessories, to even video games. Glad that I was able to finally wear it at an Engagement Party that I attended.

So you may ask what is my greatest takeaway for 2018? You may have heard this from other people hundreds of times but it's true: God sends the right people at exactly the right time. Funny how life works, but my being single actually paved way to many new friendships and opportunities. It's as if things just fell into place and I can't thank you enough.

Of course, I am still hopeful that one day, the stars would realign. After all, we all deserve a happy ever after. Ugh, such a hopeless romantic. To spare you any more drama, all I'm saying is that the love you give, in time, will return to you threefold; Just continue to inspire people.

Lastly, at the end of the day, remind yourself to have a grateful heart despite all the battles you may be facing. Learn to smile and take things one step at a time, to which I am still working on, up to this writing.

Season to Sparkle

Feels like Christmas already with all the festive lights and cheerful songs around the metro. May we always remember the reason for this Season and likewise be grateful for the love of family and friends.

With the numerous parties and gatherings you will be attending, it's always best to choose outfits that can easily transform your look from day to night. In my opinion, a cardigan or a blazer would simply do the trick.

Once you're ready to loosen up, then it's time to add a little spice by going backless. Your call whether you want to amp things up by wearing a red lippie, a fancy pair of jewelry or just go basic.

In my case, I just went for nude heels as a finishing touch. I want my ensemble to look chic yet effortless. After all, the rest will all depend on your character and personality. Always remember that no one can ever dull your sparkle. Your happiness depends on you. So smile and open your heart to beautiful days ahead :)
