When I Met You

February 20. 2nd Anniversary of our 'Tiger Sugar' Conversation. I found that day funny because when Ben and I became a couple, he confessed to me how intimidated he was by me. He tried initiating numerous conversations but my answers were very short that I seemed not interested according to him. Fast forward to this day, proof that his mind actually fooled him. Good thing he made an effort to chat with me everyday, eventually realizing that behind this intimidating aura is a sweet and humorous young lady.

Today, we had Tiger Sugar to commemorate that one-of-a kind day.

Ben is by far consistent with his words and actions. Last week was indeed very memorable as it was actually a week of celebrations: from my Birthday, to Valentines, to our 1.7 years as a couple and also Chinese New Year. Here are the 2 Looks I made for the Weekend. It's amazing to see how two ensembles can instantly create two different personalities.

The 1st look is Chic and Edgy. Pairing a lace top (in my case I used a lace dress) with a houndstooth skirt makes your look casual yet put together. Finishing up with red lippies is the tried and tested trick for a captivating and sexy smile.

For my birthday, Ben cooked for me some steak and surprised me with one of the yummiest Cheesecake. My family can't stop raving about it. I love how we both share the same palate in terms of our gastronomic choices. He even gifted me with a new pair of earrings. Perfect for my growing collection. He really does know how to make me smile.

For the 2nd look, I went for something sweet and dainty. The overall look I wanted to achieve was natural and fresh. Ben describes this as "Korean-vibe" or "Anime-inspired".

He surprised me with Roses for the 14th of February. I thought I wasn't going to get one because of the Pandemic, but he still made sure my day will be special. We had a refreshing stroll in the park with our cute dog named Timmy. What made this day extra meaningful was when we danced the night away.

Even though the New Normal wasn't the way we expected things to be, I am deeply grateful because we still get to spend time with the people we love. That for me is the most important.

Which look fits me better?

A Beautiful Escape

Just a few weeks ago, one of my blog readers messaged me saying that she finds my blog as a "happy distraction". She felt that with the places I explore, it's as if she herself has been there. Readers like her are my kind of inspiration , that is why despite my busy schedule, I always find time to go back to my first love, and that is blogging about fashion, travel and lifestyle.

So here's another travel escapade I'd like you to explore with me.
Welcome to Pico de Loro

If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of city life,
then this beach resort can be your safe haven.

With more or less 1.5 hours drive from Manila,
my family and I stayed in Pico Sands Hotel.

We stayed in a Premier Lagoon View Room.
Thank you Ms. Ciara Role for the kind accommodation.

Since we arrived lunchtime, then what better way to chill
than dine in a Mediterranean setup courtesy of Pico Bar.

Just a snippet of what we ate, this is just 1/3 of it :)

Now that our tummies are happy,
it's time to hit the beach.

I'm wearing a halter maxi dress by ROMWE.
I love how calming the color of the dress is.
It's as if I belong to this island. (just kidding)
I'm no beach babe, just taking a break from all the stress.

A view like this is simply breathtaking <3

And I can't help but pose for selfies.
Wearing my Melissa slippers <3

If you prefer some indoor activities instead,
then the clubhouse has various amenities that you can avail of.

And of course, don't miss out on the swimming pools.
If you have some kids, then this can be your option.

Or enjoy the infinity pool.

Perhaps  you can also try kayaking, paddle-boarding or
even a pony ride for your outdoor activities.

This is where we had our sumptuous dinner

Pico de Loro is located in Hamilo Coast, Nasugbu Batangas

I'm glad I was able to spend it with my family.

Stay tuned for more fashion and travel posts this coming 2017 <3

Wanderlust

Here's part two of my travel diary to Korea. Took awhile to blog about this because of my crazy schedule, but since people are asking what else they can do aside from exploring Nami Island, then here's a little comeback.

First Stop: Gyeongbok Palace

If you're into history and architecture, then you'll surely enjoy strolling around the palace's spacious grounds while appreciating Korea's many court customs.

Just look at how beautiful and intricate the details are.

If you got tired from all the walking, then a little stopover should do the trick.

Second Stop: FOOD
what Korea is all about: spices and yes, Kimchi

How about some streetfood for the young at heart?
Checkout this Egg Buns

Perhaps, some barbeque for meat lovers

Also do keep warm with some Chicken Ginseng Soup---a must try

Looking for some Authentic Galbi Jim?
Go to Seochomyeonok and there you'll find
what your stomach is craving for: mouthwatering ribs

I can go on forever sharing with you all the food we ate in Korea,
but I should stop now, else it can make you incredibly hungry.
Let's just settle for some dessert before I share with you more scenic places.

A must try dessert is Bingsu--- Korea's version of the famous halo-halo

 Now that you're properly energized,
on to our third stop: Petite France

Visiting the little prince

and our knight in shining armour...
 someday our prince will come

But I must say this Little Prince totally slayed it.

Still hyped up?
Let's proceed to our fourth stop: Bukchon Hanok Village

Immerse yourself in the northern village and get to see hundreds of traditional houses. Yes it may be a little crowded as it is also a tourist spot :)

If you want to blend in with the locals, then why not
take the metro or freely explore Seoul as your fifth stop

Ain't they cute :)

Perhaps a walk in the park

and some goofing around would do the trick

For our sixth stop, we went to SKYFARM located in Yeouido
I personally recommend that you pay this place a visit.

Talk about a breathtaking view as beautiful as this.
Feel on top of the world, thanks to this posh restaurant.

And the food as well as presentation was superb.

There's so much to do and see in Korea, so before calling it a home sweet home, do make sure that you get to wear some Hanbok or one of their traditional dresses.

I have been transformed to a gisaeng , a female entertainer
Sweet Dreams!

All the best <3
