Chic and Polished

Style for me is very personal ---it's liberating.
That's why as both a fashion blogger and businesswoman,
I make it a point that I always look presentable.

When dressing up, I usually draw inspiration from
my mood or a striking accessory like so.

Take for instance this eyecatching Sallygator bag
colorful Handle Wrap from Oh My Bag PH

I love how easy I can transform my look from day to night.

The handle wraps are so versatile that it can actually
give any bag an instant facelift.

Suzanne Blush Handle Wrap

And yes, you can also wear it as a scarf. Oh how I wish I own
all 50 designs of these handle wraps. The satin finish is superb and
I'm having so much fun matching it with my OOTDs!

Another way on how you can sport handle wraps is
to tie it as a ribbon or a bag scarf.
Styling these babies are endless possibilities.

At the end of the day,
it's all about putting your personality to what you're wearing.

I went for a look that is chic and polished,
hence the matching scarf and bag scarf by Oh My Bag PH.

If there's one thing to remember, it's to
always have fun with your ensemble. Be open to trying out
new looks because who knows it can eventually be your style peg.

And for all those fashionistas and bag aficionados out there,
if you want to give the best care possible for your bags,
then I highly suggest that you checkout Oh My Bag .
They also offer various bag care products ranging from
bag raincoats, bag stuffers and base shapers
to keep your well-loved companions in tip-top shape.

Mi Amore

A few days ago, we gave mom the 'royal treatment' she deserves.
Aside from giving her some presents for Mother's Day,
our family took her out for dinner.

Being the stylist in me, a special occasion like so
made me want to look all glammed up.
If you've been following my blog,
Apartment 8 would always be one of my favorite go-to ensembles.

Their fashion pieces are classy yet timeless;
Chic yet feminine. Simply fashion forward for the modern you.
Take for instance this Apartment 8 Wrap Dress which allows you
to create endless styles ---brilliant in every way!

Creating my own version of a demi-goddess look,
I styled the front of my dress with
off-the-shoulder Ruched Straps, and a ribbon at the back.

That's just one of many ways I can style this maxi.
Perhaps, I'll save my other creations for another post.

Someday I do hope to get a chance to collaborate
with this brand (together with my twin of course).
Super love their dresses --- a style haven for every fashionista!

Just to give you some snippets about the celebration,
we had dinner at
BLACKBIRD at The Nielson Tower
Ayala Triangle Gardens, Salcedo Village Makati City

We ordered around six dishes but I'll only share two as you've definitely
have to try out this place. Food and Ambiance is just perfect!

Lasagna ala Blackbird

| Portobello Mushroom , Asparagus, Fontina, Truffle Oil |

Pizza Ala BlackBird

| Italian Sausage, Fennel, Tomatoes, Mozzarella and Chili |

Thanks Mom for all the love. I might not be good in expressing it,
but you definitely mean the world to me.

And of course, always thankful for the love of Family :)

Best Dressed 2015

Last September 22, I attended
the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines Annual Ball
held at Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

The BDWP ball is a charitable event geared towards raising funds
for the benefit of the Philippine Cancer Society.

If you've been regularly reading my posts,
this fashion for a cause event will be very familiar,
all thanks to the beautiful, generous and kindhearted

Jennifer Helen Weigel Sarmiento

Tita Jennifer is multi-talented and extremely fashionable.
She was recently crowned last June 13, 2015 as
Mrs. Asia International 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 2 lovely ladies in the photo below are her twin daughters:
Jennifer Elaine Sarmiento with her date Kirby Yu Bun-an &
Jasmin Ellen Sarmiento with her date Ralph Andrei Juan

A big thanks to one of my best friends Jas for having me in this
spectacular event. Truly it was a night to remember.

I'll keep this short and sweet.
It's not enough for a woman to be physically beautiful.
What we all must strive for is how to become
women of substance --- Someone that can truly inspire change

And what more can I say, like mother like daughter.
Indeed, I am very proud of her!
They deserve all the blessings and success that come their way :)

Most of us are still a work-in-progress and hopefully
someday we can create better versions of ourselves :)

Majority of the photos in this post are taken by Mark Ryan Alvarez
He's a professional photographer and accepts event bookings :)

The Dreamer

Today's post brings some nostalgia as this was my graduation dress back then.
I managed to find this thru my stack of clothes in the closet.
You can probably guess how old this dress is.

Little black dresses or LBDs are very good investments.
With the right style and silhouette, they will remain a classic!

Dress from Apartment8

Since I'm no longer a student,
I paired it with some chic heels for a more playful peg.

A big congratulations to the recent graduates of University of the Philippines.
Special mention to Tiffany Grace Uy, Summa Cum Laude of UP.

I may not personally know her but more than the grades she obtained,
I am impressed by her passion to contribute to medicinal research
particularly in the field of breast cancer.

It's not everyday that you get to hear young people talk about service and
love for country and I salute her for that.

If there's one thing I learned in the corporate world as well as in my craft as
fashion blogger, it's that you have to have a lot of heart in what you do.
For one to be successful, one should be consistent and committed.
Always have the end goal in mind, because in that way,
you are reminded of what you want and
that's where you draw inspiration from.

Life is a blessing and we should learn to celebrate and cherish it.

Nobu

If you're looking for a place with great ambiance then head to Nobu Hotel, City of Dreams.

Experience posh upscale Japanese dining at Nobu.
They have an indoor and outdoor setup to your delight.
It's also a perfect date place for couples out there and a classy place to propose <3

Here's what we ordered for dinner for our Post-birthday celebration :)

Salmon

Rock Shrimp Tempura

Scallops

Black Cod Miso (Alaska)
A Signature Dish by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa
Certainly a must try! In fact, we ordered 2. It was that good! :)

 Yaki Tenderloin

Paella

This is actually our second time to visit City of Dreams.
The first time we went, we dined at Erwin's Gastrobar.
This time around, Nobu captured our palate.
This gold sequin dress I'm wearing is perfect for tonight :)

Can't wait for our next food adventure at City of Dreams. So many to try!

I am out of words for this place!

Simply breathtaking!

All praise to Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and a big congratulations to
Celebrity Actor Robert De Niro for co-founding Nobu.

Do checkout Nobu Hotel, I highly recommend it :)
