When I Met You

February 20. 2nd Anniversary of our 'Tiger Sugar' Conversation. I found that day funny because when Ben and I became a couple, he confessed to me how intimidated he was by me. He tried initiating numerous conversations but my answers were very short that I seemed not interested according to him. Fast forward to this day, proof that his mind actually fooled him. Good thing he made an effort to chat with me everyday, eventually realizing that behind this intimidating aura is a sweet and humorous young lady.

Today, we had Tiger Sugar to commemorate that one-of-a kind day.

Ben is by far consistent with his words and actions. Last week was indeed very memorable as it was actually a week of celebrations: from my Birthday, to Valentines, to our 1.7 years as a couple and also Chinese New Year. Here are the 2 Looks I made for the Weekend. It's amazing to see how two ensembles can instantly create two different personalities.

The 1st look is Chic and Edgy. Pairing a lace top (in my case I used a lace dress) with a houndstooth skirt makes your look casual yet put together. Finishing up with red lippies is the tried and tested trick for a captivating and sexy smile.

For my birthday, Ben cooked for me some steak and surprised me with one of the yummiest Cheesecake. My family can't stop raving about it. I love how we both share the same palate in terms of our gastronomic choices. He even gifted me with a new pair of earrings. Perfect for my growing collection. He really does know how to make me smile.

For the 2nd look, I went for something sweet and dainty. The overall look I wanted to achieve was natural and fresh. Ben describes this as "Korean-vibe" or "Anime-inspired".

He surprised me with Roses for the 14th of February. I thought I wasn't going to get one because of the Pandemic, but he still made sure my day will be special. We had a refreshing stroll in the park with our cute dog named Timmy. What made this day extra meaningful was when we danced the night away.

Even though the New Normal wasn't the way we expected things to be, I am deeply grateful because we still get to spend time with the people we love. That for me is the most important.

Which look fits me better?

Nude & Neutral

Having just watched Tarzan a few weeks ago,
I figured why not create a look inspired by the beautiful Jane.

Jane's persona is ravishing so I went for a nude dress that is chic
and paired it with some strappy flats (a gift from my thoughtful sister)
to give my ensemble some oooomph.

Flats from Shana

When playing dressup, always remember to be original.
Don't be a copycat and reproduce a look as if it's your own creation.
Imagine yourself as a designer or stylist and let your creativity & personality flow.
In that way, people will be amazed and yet recognize the look as you.

Holiday Looks by Plains and Prints

When it comes to vibrant prints and design,
no brand can do it better than Plains & Prints.

So for my fifth Holiday Look recommendation,
why not try out interesting cuts, silhouettes, colors and prints from Plains & Prints.

What I love about this brand is that they continuously produce clothing pieces that
are classy yet versatile and timeless.

(Just checkout some of my looks from previous Plains & Prints collections)

No wonder Anne Curtis is the perfect face to endorse Plains & Prints.
Her fun, fresh and fearless aura complements the brand.

As what Anne would often say to all her fans:
"Stay and be comfortable in whatever you choose to wear.
You don’t have to follow trends because you won’t fit all of them.
Just be you and you’re going to be okay."

And because you're a reader of mine, you get to have
first dibs on the Holiday 2014 Collections.

Since there are so many pieces, I'm just sharing with you some of my favorite looks
from each collection just in time for the Yuletide Season.

East Meets West
If you're looking for chic yet elegant silhouettes, East Meets West Collection is for you.
This collection is inspired by the merging cultures of the east and the west.
Various shades of red and fuchsia with warm tones of peach and gray are dominant in this collection.

Modern Metropolis
If you love cheerful prints and stunning colors, Modern Metropolis is for you.
This trendy collection is a series of Holiday Dresses with prints inspired by
some of the famous cities in the world --- Milan, Shanghai and London.

Heaven and Earth
If you want to sport a fun festive mood this Holiday Season, then Heaven and Earth is for you.
This collection is filled with earthy tones inspired by the vibrant colors of the sky.

You can also checkout R.A.F. Holiday Collection for more Holiday ensembles.
R.A.F. is a sister brand of Plains & Prints.

I do hope you enjoyed this preview of Plains & Prints Holiday Collection.
As for me, I am officially stoked with their new collection!
