Sail Away

Light and Easy.
Here's another fresh look for summer.

I'm wearing a Talla Beaded Neck Caftan dress from Zalora.
Zalora is an online shopping haven for all fashionistas.

This dress is pure sophistication; simple yet eyecatching.
I love how it resembles the color of the ocean, it makes me feel carefree.

Since I just wore this to stroll around the mall a few days ago,
I opted to wear my chic flats from Tomato for extra comfort.

You can easily change this look from day to night by
simply changing your footwear. A strappy pair of heels would
definitely be a stunner. Finish the look with a gold clutch for extra oomph.

The Little Things

38 more days 'til Christmas!
Oh how time flies.

As we prepare ourselves for this special day,
it's important that we give thanks to the people
who have been with us day in and day out.

Whether it's our parents or household helpers,
they all deserve to be accorded with the same respect.
Yes, one way of making them feel special is by showering
them with gifts, but more than that we have to make them feel loved
and appreciated because that kind of feeling is above anything else.

For what it's worth, I just felt like sharing this because with
what is happening right now---
natural disasters here & there, a series of terrorist attacks,
there is no longer anything permanent in this world.

I pray that we all find solace in simple things.
May we all learn to value and cherish the relationships we have.

Before I bid you goodnight, my peg for this look is chic and casual.
Recreate this look by pairing a denim skirt with a patterned blouse.
Simply finished the look with a red lippie and a dashing pair of heels.

Love,

Dear Hollywood

Most of us, if not all, have BIG dreams.
Some dream of fame and fortune,
while others dream of making the next breakthrough in science.

Whatever those personal endeavors may be,
what matters is that we find ourselves along that process of discovery.

Nobody said it would be easy but what matters is that we try.
After all, we only have one life to live, better make it worthwhile.

Today's peg is already a giveaway: HOLLYWOOD.
Instead of going with the usual glitz and glam ensemble,
here's my take on looking chic and casual.

To pull this look, choose a dress that is vintage yet with classic prints.
A little bit ironic, but it actually looks good, don't you think?

Pair it with comfortable and eyecatching shoes.
In my case, a metallic number would definitely steal the show.

As I've said, it's all a matter of experimenting what works and what doesn't.
Same goes with life. Some things will surprise you.
When that happens, welcome it, because that opportunity might
be your ticket to happily ever after :)

Prima Ballerina

I've always admired ballerinas.
The way they dance... the way they compose themselves make me
wonder how much discipline they put in such graceful movements.

While I am no prima ballerina, it doesn't hurt to look like one, even for just a day.
So for all those aspiring ballerinas out there, here's a little fashion inspiration :)

First things first, grab your trustee Pointe shoes.
The ribbons and bands make my shoes resemble the real thing.
What do you think? Pointe and flex shall we? :)

Next, choose a fitted yet flattering-to-your-silhouette dress.

If you feel like wearing tutus, by all means, go :)
Since I'm no real dancer, no need to wear tights or leotards for this look.
What's important is you are comfortable in your ballet clothes.

Lastly, don't forget to smile and have fun.
Ballet is such a beautiful form of art and it's meant to be enjoyed.
What do you think of today's fashion peg? :)

All that Sparkle

Time for my First Outfit Post for 2015.
A Happy Happy New Year to Everyone! :)

Welcoming the New Year with Sequins!
It's said in Chinese Tradition that to attract luck and positive energy,
one ought to wear bright colored clothing for the New Year :)

I got my shiny top from Clothes Buffet Manila.
This was one of my favorite hauls during the shopping buffet event.

For those who weren't able to attend the First Season,
it's a must to experience the next. I heard it's going to be bigger and better.
Something we can all look forward to this 2015.

To style this look, just add a classy scarf to pump up your ensemble.

There are hundreds of ways to style a scarf so be creative.
I've showed you the first three.
Have fun figuring out the rest :)
