The Secret Garden

This 4th and final prenup look was our little "teaser" to our intimate yet regal wedding. It's a special gown because it was gifted by my twin sister. She was so sweet to surprise me with this ensemble.

I'm wearing Danie Baron's Heart Bridal Gown in Neoprene. The very long train of this pristine white gown is the perfect accent for this intricate staircase.

The gown is a stunner as it also reminds me of the movie Tangled, wherein Rapunzel lets down her hair. In my case, we got creative, and let my gown's train flow by the balcony of this beautiful garden.

So which look is your favorite? Just remember when you're planning for your prenup shoot, just do you so that it won't be hard projecting yourself in front of the camera. Some may also ask whether you need to hire a stylist. In our case, I practice what I preach. As my blog name says, I am My Own Stylist.

I also helped style Ben, but he himself has a great sense of style. The rest is a matter of how you connect as a couple.

The perfect example of less is more. Let the gown do all the talking.

It Takes Two to Tango

A relationship becomes stronger when both parties make the effort to pursue each other. As they say, it takes two to tango. So here we are dancing to the rhythm of our lives.

This is my 3rd look for our prenup shoot. This time I went for something sweet and romantic. I'm wearing an ensemble by JAZEL SY. She is a fashion designer known for her classic and timeless pieces. She has been in the wedding industry for more than 15 years.

Her attention to detail and workmanship is incredible. No wonder she has dressed celebrity clients like Bangs Garcia, Aubrey Miles and our beloved queen of pageantry Catriona Gray. Her following has even reached Israel, which is pretty amazing. She is also the designer for my wedding gown which I am excited to share with you soon.

What I love about this gown is that it portrays the femininity of a woman. The bold red color brings forth love and passion. The dress is draped with tulle on the bottom for a softer look which is a good balance to the place.

I may have said this hundreds of times but I really am lucky to have someone like Ben who is so caring beyond measure. That is why I make it a point to take care of him in my own little ways.

This pose reminds me of prom. We can easily pass as highschool sweethearts. We don't look our age. I guess love is the secret antidote to the fountain of youth.

There's really beauty in waiting for the right person. As for me, it took me 30 years to meet him. We cannot keep expecting to receive the love we deserve, if we ourselves cannot give the same to our significant other. Love is choosing each other every single day.

Very Bridgerton

This Second Look reminds me of the Netflix Series Bridgerton. Their color palette mostly revolves in either muted or pastel colors. Daphne, the main star for Season 1 wore gowns mostly in the shade powder blue.

I'm wearing another beautiful masterpiece by Merri Chan. She was the one who created the dreamy gold ballgown in my previous post. The design evokes a soft yet regal look. I love how light and flowy the gown is.

Bring Out The Champagne

Ours is my favorite love story. Who would have thought that we have attended several similar occasions, but never got a chance to meet until that fateful day of 16th of February 2019. Ben is God's answered prayer to all my years of waiting. Here are some photos from our prenup shoot.

I am wearing an Enchanting Champagne Gold Ball Gown adorned with pearls and crystal details by Designer Merri Chan. She is a budding designer to watch out for. When I met her, she was so simple, clad in a white shirt and jeans, but boy, her talent and attention to details was superb. I was blown away with her artistic eye. I am actually proud of her as she is actually a batchmate of mine back in ICA.

How would you describe your brand aesthetics?

What is fashion for you?

A form of self expression and a way to make people feel great about themselves.

How would you define your personal style?

Simple and no nonsense. Prefer to dress in lounge pants and shirts for myself and unleash my creativity on dresses for other people

How long have you been in the business?

Started on mid 2017. So 4 years

Who is your style icon and why?

Carolyn bessette-kennedy. Her style is functional for the everyday woman and really chic. Plus she's driven and goal oriented

What is your greatest career achievement?

I consider achievement as something that makes you really happy, not necessarily meaning you have to get accolades or public recognition. That said, accomplishing some dresses for our recent brides. They're different; not your typical bridal look and my brides rocked those dresses

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned since you started your own label?

Know your brand and who you want to sell it to

What advice would you give to young designers?

Take calculated risks, don't look down on new designers and also, know your brand

I love this Merri Chan ensemble because it made me look like a princess straight out of a fairytale. From the color, to the fabric and to the beadwork, it was simply divine. I felt like royalty wearing it.

Love is something you should never rush. It took me 30 years to find him and it was all worth it. I am truly blessed to have a man who loves and respects both me and my family. He really is my Prince Charming and I could not ask for more.
