Beat the Odds

Thought for the Day
Heads or Tails. Odd or Even. Yes or No.
All these have one common denominator: Choice

I guess it's safe to say that:
Life is a gamble;
It's a matter of how you play it.

I wore this to Shangrila for a leisurely stroll and of course dinner.
I particularly love my pants because it's very unique.

Think of  Yin and Yang or Harvey Dent aka Two-Face from Dark Knight (haha)
Interesting play of colors I must say.

How do you like my outfit for today?

Top from Freeway
Pants by DE
Loafers from Tomato

Since the pants already scream attention,
my advice is to wear tops that are neutral in color.
White or Black are my best bet.
Remember to have one center of attraction.

So now I'd like to share with you where my family and I had dinner!
IKKORYU FUKUOKA RAMEN
A new restaurant located in Level 5 of Shangrila's new and exciting East Wing.

Here's what we ordered

Ikkoryu Stick Tonkatsu
Crunchy Pork Cutlets

 Ajitama Tonkotsu
Topped with a special half-boiled egg that is fully marinated with a special blended soy sauce base
(Indeed my favorite!)

 Gyoza

 Yakimeshi

Asari Butter
Stir fried clam with butter

Everything we ordered was delicious!
This explains why it's always packed.
 I highly recommend it :)

Sweet Mess

Whoever said that wearing black is a bad idea during summer, I'd say think again.

Black is mysterious and playful at the same time.
Just pair it with some colorful shorts and you're all set for summer!

Anyways, I don't know why, but some of these pictures remind me of Carly Rae Jepsen.
Asian Version and fatter though!
Hopefully, it's not a bad thing (haha)
Oh boy...Must be my fringes, but as I've said in my previous post, change is good :)

What I love about this black cover-up is that it's made of crochet!
It's very light. How Ingenious! I love it.

Fringes

This Summer, we all need something new and refreshing.
The easiest way to do this?

One Word.
CHANGE.

Don't worry, nothing really major.
I just decided to hype my look by having my hair cut.
If you've noticed, my hair is shorter and now with fringes.

People usually change their looks for many reasons:
Some of which may be matters of the heart (I'm not heartbroken or anything)
the weather, the trend, the lifestyle ( definitely!)
...and so the list goes on

Change is indeed good.
It gives you a fresh start at things.

How do you like my new look?

Shout-out to senior stylist Mr. Christian of Folded & Hung | Famous Salon for cutting my locks.
Special mention also to junior stylist Mr. Brian for assisting.
Both of them are so friendly :)

To those people who might not have heard of this yet, Folded & Hung Famous Salon opened
last September 17, 2012. Currently, if I'm not mistaken, they have 2 branches:
 Greenhills and Robinsons Place Manila.

Some of their ambassadors are Angel Locsin and Sam Milby.
Personally, I'd say that their cuts are fun and edgy, simply perfect for Summer!

 People Change,
Feelings Change,
And things Change.

These take time.

But if you want some immediate change, then do follow my footsteps :)
I'm  looking at coloring my hair soon, maybe they too can give me advice!

Brianna

It's not everyday that you get to attend a Baby Shower and
it's actually times like this that remind you
that you yourself are not getting any younger (Oh Boy)!

              Here's my Look!

Dress from Taylor
Handbag by Charles & Keith

What I love about this look is that it's very feminine.
Pastel colors are also a must in occasions like this.

The Baby Shower was held at NAPA Bar & Restaurant.
It's located at No. 12 Scout Borromeo, South Triangle Quezon City.

It was my first time here and so as the others.
Surprisingly, the place was very homey and food here was sumptuous!

Look at this Cake! It is so cute!
The baby's name is Brianna.
I'm betting the one who baked this cake must have not heard about Rihanna,
'coz if he did then he would have guessed that Brianna is a girl :))
(Oh well)

BRIAN + NINA = BRIANNA
(pwede na!)

We were asked to each draw something for the Baby's Alphabet Book.
I got the letter T and was too tempted to write my name instead :))
But the baby has to learn something and not just my name so I decided T for turtle would be a good start.

Of course, any celebration wouldn't be complete without drinks!

I wasn't able to take a photo of what was set for buffet as we were still talking to Nina
about her pregnancy and excitement for her baby Brianna.
I did get a chance to take some photos of our extra orders as we did stay long at this event.
It was indeed a night of merry-making :)

We had 2 orders of this! It was that good!

Nachos Supreme

Crispy nacho chips topped with homemade Italian sausage, tangy tomato salsa, sour cream, jalapeno and cheese sauce

LAVA CAKE
    Indeed their Specialty!

I just love chocolate! It certainly is one of my comfort foods!

Thank you Nina and Brian for inviting us :)
I pray for your safe delivery Nina and as early as now, I am welcoming Brianna to the family! :)

Summer Breeze

With this extremely hot weather in the Philippines, I need to Keep Calm and Stay Cool.
Seriously, if only there's a refrigerator I could fit into, I would have made myself an eskimo inside :))

But anyways, enough of that crazy idea!
I chose to wear this Teal mullet dress to let my skin "breathe"

It's very light and flowy.
The best part is the back of this dress is made of lace.
Simply another way of getting that breezy-feel !
Plus, it looks very chic and feminine!

For this outfit, I decided to wear my Love Spoon Pendant Necklace from ROMWE.
Ain't it adorable? Very 'princessy' I must say.
A pinch of gold would always do the trick :)

3 Ds for this Summer:
Don't let the heat completely destroy your mood.
Dress up light and you'll feel good
Do smile and instantly look good :)
