Bella

Every Girl wants to be the Belle of the ball.
As she enters the room, everyone present gazes at her ethereal beauty.
Oh boy, forgive me, I must be dreaming again... how enchanting this could be.

I call  this look
"SWEET CLASSIC"

To get this Look is really simple:

STEP 1:  Pick a dress with a neutral color like black, white, or beige.
It should be as simple as possible.

In my case, I chose my LBD from Forever21 as my basic piece.

STEP 2:  Choose accessories that can add to your femininity.
Flower crowns are my favorite. However, if this is too bold for you,
then you could wear a headband, a ribbon or a clip for a sweet look.

STEP 3:  Add Gold Accents
This incredible color is the secret to getting the glam factor.
Just look at the clothes of Greek Goddesses.
One tip to look ethereal without getting overboard.

STEP 4:  SMILE
Boys go GAGA with a girl's smile.
You don't own all the problems in the world,
so once in awhile do what makes you happy.
You owe that to yourself.

Shoes from Forever21

LBD from Forever21
Bangles from Forever21

I'm sure you've noticed that everything I'm wearing is from Forever21.
I love this brand because it's a perfect fit to my personality.
Fun, feminine and Stylish;
 Yet extremely Versatile

For the record, this post is by no means sponsored by Forever21.
Hopefully someday, I do get a chance to become one of their brand ambassadors
or at least collaborate with them for any fashion event.

Big dream I know, but for those of you who are my loyal followers,
I'm sure you know about my Runway Gig.
It's something I won't forget. An opportunity I'm forever grateful for :)

Parisian

Parisians in one word?
Classy
That's looking good without exerting too much effort.
So here's my own take on the Parisian look.

As ultimate fashionistas would say, (which I totally agree to)
"it's not what you wear; it's how you wear it".

RULE #1: Think Elegant and Timeless.
Audrey Hepburn is a testament to that.

RULE #2: Make sure that your ensemble fits your figure.
Don't let trends dictate you on what to wear.

RULE #3: Don't be afraid to wear dark colors.
These shades usually are more classy and are preferred by Parisians.

I wore this ensemble to Gloria Maris' Chef's Night Event
entitled Flaming Feast
This is actually the 3rd round of such festivity and my, my,
the entire banquet experience was great.

In fact, I wouldn't miss it for anything.
Definitely a First in the Philippines!

So without further ado,
I present to you the Royal Banquet
and the creations of Gloria Maris' very own Chef Ahwa.

The Waiters Parade
Aww, look at them posing for me! :)

Now, time to be more serious and prim and proper

The gorgeous owner making sure that every detail of the event is set.

Throughout the night, we were serenaded with beautiful songs by the UP Orchestra.
Now that's what you call an amazing dinner banquet.

And now, Time for My 7-course Menu

Salmon with Shrimp and Potato Wrap Drizzled with Wasabi Mayo Dressing
What a perfect appetizer to tease my palate!

Baked Crabmeat and Shark's Fin in Crab Shell
Definitely my favorite dish! How I wish Gloria Maris serves this during their regular days.

Emperor's Crispy Chicken with Chiu Chow Sauce
I love the burst of flavors. Surprisingly delicious.

Boiled Fookien Soup
Time to clean my palate first before another exquisite dish is served.

Stuffed Pigeon
An interesting way to serve Pigeon I must say.

Sliced Abalone with Ham & Vegetables
For a healthier me!

And of course what I have been waiting for...
DESSERT
Sizzle Fizzle Sizzle and Voila....

Taro with Hazelnut Filling
A fun-filled dessert! Chewy Hazelnut madness!
An awesome treat to end the night.

We all had loads of fun! Good times with Good Company!
Indeed a night of celebration.

And of course, to the lovely owner of Gloria Maris, Ms. Candy Uy-Lim, hats off to you!
The event was very successful and I sure hope that there's another round of such festivity.

And for my candid photo during the night,
Thanks Gloria Maris for my stolen shot! :)

Gloria Maris is by far one of my favorite Chinese Restaurants.
Their dishes are all prepared and served with excellent quality.
No wonder why my family and I even my friends keep on coming back.
In fact, at least once a month we are here. The waiters and staff already know us :)

Hope you enjoyed my post :)

And for those of you who wants to see more of Gloria Maris' creations,
here's another post of mine that you would enjoy

Until next time!

Femme Fatale

To spice things up a bit, I'm bringing Femme Fatale back with a twist.
Here's a sneak peak of what to expect.

When it comes to fashion, there are 3 things that most women dislike

A)  That she be caught wearing the same piece of clothing
B)  That she meet her doppelganger and be fashion policed as to who wore it better, and
C)  That she has nothing to wear (though her closet is full, how ironic)

I know, I know. It sounds superficial or trivial, but I’m sure that you’ve heard one of these statements from your friends, colleagues and even from yourself.

I for one am guilty, but that was then, because now I finally got my secret weapon: My LBD

LBD by Forever21

That Little Black Dress inside your closet can be your best friend or worst enemy, depending on how you use it of course. If you have worn your LBD for countless times without changing your look, then say hello to plain old boring Jane.

However, if you’re like me who loves to experiment by mixing and matching clothes, then creativity and attitude are all you need to make that look work.

I'll be featuring each of my looks so stay tuned!
Which look is your favorite? Feel free to drop a comment :)

Walk with Me

When you're in Hong Kong, expect a lot of walking.
My fashion advice?
Let go of your heels and say hello to Brogues!

I got my suede shoes from The Carrier Pigeon Project or TCCP for short.
When I heard about this brand and its advocacy, I knew I just had to support it.

Actually not only me, even my twin joined the bandwagon.
TCCP Shoes is available in 4 colors.
TCCP Classic Light Brown for me and TCCP Classic Red for my sister.

You can also get in in TCCP Classic Gray or Classic Dark Brown.

TCCP, in partnership with World Vision Philippines, is all about Fashion with a Cause.
Imagine every purchase you make contributes to two funds:

Support A Child Program- Feed and Send a child to school
ABK2 Child Labor Project- Construct classrooms and help victims of child labor

What I love about these Brogues is that it's very comfortable.
I wore it the entire day with no fuss at all.

I can easily pair these beauties with jeans, shorts, dresses (you name it!)
And the best part of all? It's handmade by our very own Filipino Sapateros
Now that's Filipino Ingenuity at its finest!

Fur Vest by Zara   /   Whitewashed Jeans from Taiwan   /   Black Leather Bag from Romwe
Shades by Eye Channel  /    Cap from R.Lance   /   Brogues from TCCP

So where I wore this ensemble to?
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

You've gotta ride on of these to get there!
Madame Tussauds is located at Peak Tower in Victoria Peak, Hong Kong.

So excited!

We're Here! Madame Tussauds is a museum of more than a hundred wax figures
of your favorite icons and celebrities.

Get ready to be Starstruck in Madame Tussauds
I won't divulge the names of these people anymore
because I expect you to know most of them :)
I'll let the photos do the talking.
They won't be legends for no reason.

We had fun posing! In fact you can make captions with our poses.

If you come to this place, remember to bring lots of memory storage for your camera!
You will go loco wanting to have photos with all of them.

And yes, a Ramp Model in Hong Kong

What a fun experience!

Got ourselves little trinkets!

After hours and hours of Photo-Ops, we treated ourselves to a sumptuous lunch!

And oh, before I end this post, I just want to thank that person again
who found my camera and surrendered it to the Museum. Aside from all my photos
getting lost, I had some personal files in my camera, so whoever you are, I thank thee.

Though I might not have seen nor met you,
thanks for being cupid and putting a smile on my face.
I really want to hug you now!
Take care Stranger :)
