Bohemian Love

Creativity always go with Personal Style.
This look of mine was inspired by Bohemian Fashion.

Tips in Sporting this look:

1) Patterns- usually loud and busy like that of different geometric shapes, stars and flowers.
In my case, flowers are all over my Mullet dress.

2) Colors- Back then, more of earth tones; Today, you can be as vibrant as you like.
Choose depending on your personality.

3) Accessories- big and attractive

4) Clothing fabric- must be light and flowy

You can be as crazy as you want when sporting the Boho look.
At the end of the day, it's you who is wearing it. So enjoy and let yourself be creative.

Code Red

Imagine this.

Alarm clock rings.....
You slam it and go back to sleep.
After a few minutes, it rings again.
You snooze it once more.
Alarm clock rings the Nth time...
Shit....I overslept.

So you rush to the bathroom to take a quick shower.
The best outfit in my opinion for times like this would be a Wrap-Around dress. It's similar to wearing a bathrobe. Just make sure you tie it well, else guys might drool (*haha, unless that's you're goal*)
Voila, you're good to go!

Dress from The Black Shop

Red is the color of confidence. You can also wear this color in the workplace or during client calls. Be wary though, make sure not to overpower the person you're meeting with. If you want to be on the safer side of things, then pick the traditional: black, white or beige. For those who are more daring, it never hurts to experiment though. Who knows, you might just land an impression, hopefully on the good side :)

Baby you're my Firework

While blogging about my outfit for today, a Cover of Katy Perry's Firework was playing in my Ipod.
So explains half of the reason for such title.

I wanted to have a good start this morning so I wore one of my favorite clothes. I don't know if you have experienced this, but there are just some clothes that you yourself can say that you look good on, no matter what your mood for the day is.

Wanting to shoo away the stress I'm feeling lately, this dress is perfect because every time I wear it, I get compliments from friends and even random people that I look fab in it.

For me, fashion is limitless. You can wear anything you want as long as you can carry it well.
Yes, there are some rules whether you're at work, in school or anywhere out of your comfort zone
but you could always work within it without exactly bending some principles.

In my case, I believe I look good in feminine dresses especially lace :)
To add some oomph, wear heels but since I have to do so much errands for work,
flats are the better choice.

Look at what the Sun did to my hair. I just love it! Sunkissed.
One day, I might have my hair colored, so watch out :)

Now, going back to that meaningful lyrics of Firework....

'coz baby you're a firework,
c'mon show them what you're worth

The song motivates us to not be ashamed of who we are today.
It's all a matter of time in building ourselves up for the better.

True, so much is expected from us and I do hope that
someday I will not only make myself proud but as well as my parents.

As they say, Life goes on....
One step at a time baby :)

Tarzan's Long Lost Daughter

So much for not being able to sleep at all...
Well I guess blame it on the weekend I suppose :)

Bare with me, since I look like a Zombie already, I just wore my favorite shades to hide that fact!

Tarzan and Jane were quite a couple. They belong to two different worlds but still ended up together. Aww
My outfit today is so tribal. What I love about jumpsuits is that it can instantly glam you up.
The only disadvantage is that every time you have to go to the restroom, there's a bit of work there, haha.
I guess fashion has a price, so live with it. You can call me Little Jane I suppose.

Indeed, there's still so much to discover in this little crazy world of ours.

Sometimes, we just have to let life take us where it wants us to be. Maybe in that way, we will be happy.

I'm starting to sound dramatic, but anyways as they say life will surprise you when you least expect it :)

Royal Bliss

Do you know what Cleopatra's
favorite color is?

It's PURPLE. I actually thought it was Gold but I was mistaken.

History has it that Cleopatra's love for the color had her servants soak 20,000 Papura snails for a week just to obtain an ounce of purple dye.

I just learned this today. Interesting Trivia.

Purple actually denotes Royalty and Mystery. This is probably one reason why people of authority love this color.

Darker shades of purple are fit for people who have a more commanding personality while lighter shades they say are fit for the romantic and delicate.

I definitely belong to the latter. For me, Purple is a unique color. You don't find a lot of outfits with that shade. So when I saw this dress, I fell in love with it. It's pleasing to the eyes and just makes me in a good mood.

HeartBeat

I'm in love.... (Well, not the kind you're thinking)

Have you ever felt that there's something different about yourself but you yourself can't explain what it is? Well, I did one morning. It's rare that such happens so I felt like blogging about it. I guess I woke up to a very good morning, probably because of a good rest or a result of a sweet dream. Whatever it is, I hope there were more days like this.

For my outfit, I just chose something simple for work. Since I felt inspired that morning, I decided to wear red and pair it with skinny jeans. As I've shared, I dress according to my mood. There's just something with red and black that when you combine together, you immediately look fab.

My theology professor once asked our class,
"What's your vocation in life?"
We came up with different answers, but it ended with one simple yet profound answer.

"To Fall in Love"

Love here not only having that significant other but more of seeing the world as it is.

So be it. I fell in love with the World.
My world being my family, friends and everyone I have shared a  memory with.
I guess that's the reason in living. You live because you love and you love because you believe.

So let's just let life take us where it wants us to be. As they say, things will fall into place, in time :)

ShadowPlay

In every girl's wardrobe, a black dress is considered staple.
Whether you're out on a date, out partying or just having some business affairs to attend to,
you will never go wrong with it. It's just a matter of having the right accessories and you're good to go.

Since my schedule for the day is to meet a VIP, I need to dress to impress.
The key is to look simple, yet still mean business.
So in my case, I just got a knee-length dress to not go overboard.
Accessorizing with pearls is just classic. I chose nude heels to complete the look.

This photo actually makes me remember Westlife's song entitled Shadows
Oh, Those were the Boy band days (haha)

♩ ♪ ♫ ♬

But I see shadows
Everywhere that I go
It's you, reminding me
Of how we were
Of how it was..

♩ ♪ ♫ ♬

Cliche as it may sound, our past makes us who we are now.
All our laughter and tears inspire us to be someone more.
Hopefully, for the better. Just find some inspiration and you'll go a long way :)

Mardi Gras

An off-the-shoulder look reminds us of Hollywood and the Oscars.
As Tanya Washington of StyleBistro.com would describe it, "An off-the-shoulder look has an alluring carefree effect—a quiet, innocent, almost accidental come-hither charm. It's feminine with a naughty twist."

Anyone can actually sport this look!
I wore it for dinner at Wafu, a newly opened high-class modern Japanese restaurant .

In my case, I tucked my hair behind one side.
Hands down to Goody Ouchless Elastics. I can wear it all day and still look all glammed-up.

For my accessories, I just chose a classy collar necklace which I believe is a perfect pairing for my off-the-shoulder look.

I actually think that this look of mine can pass as the 'Medieval Age look'
where Masquerade Balls were once customary. What do you think? :)

Make Peace Not War

Blue and Red
Two colors that I often associate with Diplomacy.
As they say, Life is a battlefield.

Here's my version of a Diplomat: Denim trench coat and Red Pumps

Every day, we encounter a different set of people.
Some pull us up, while others pull us down.
One thing is for sure, both help us grow as a person, and hopefully for the better.

Reality Check - Failure has always been part of life and it will forever be.
Keep your head up and make things happen the way you want it to be.
Hopefully, things will fall into place and life will love you back :)

DollFace

Don't get me wrong.
I'm not Barbie who's perfect in every angle. In fact, I'm far from being one.
But who wouldn't wish to have at least some resemblance of her.

So this is my own remake.
No judging please :)
Being a chinita, I will just call myself an Oriental Doll.
(laughs)

My take on dolls. Curled Hair, Pink Lips and Lace!

Remember, dolls come in many shapes and sizes. Go Figure.
Stay tuned for my next post.

Out of the Blue

I wanted a look that is powerful yet calm for some scheduled client meetings.
It may sound ironic, but trust me, they can go together.

So I chose to wear Blue. (Suddenly missing my Alma Mater)
I didn't want to look overdressed so I chose to wear a formal top and a casual skirt.

TIP: Don't be afraid to mix different shades of color from the same family.
Wear Pearls and you're good to go!
