Crème de la crème

It's been a week since I attended this incredible lunch at Edsa Shangrila's HEAT and up until now I can't forget my gastronomic indulgences on that special day.

I wore a Soft Pink dress with Pearls for a more formal day look as I am attending a MEDIA lunch with a special guest.

Don't you just love the back of my dress?

Of course, I wanted to still standout so here's how my dress looks like at the back.

I just love the cute ribbon. It adds more detail and a sweet feminine touch to my dress.

Got this lovely dress from Taiwan.

So last December 3, 2012, my sister and I attended a MEDIA Lunch with the very famous Canadian chef Anna Olson. I had to emphasize MEDIA because literally everyone present were part of that industry. Writers, Bloggers, Food Critics and The Press. So how did Sophie and I have access?

She simply joined Edsa Shangrila's Facebook contest wherein it asked,

"If you could ask Chef Anna Olson one question, what would it be?"

Amongst everyone who joined, Shangrila loved her entry and chose her as the winner with her question being

"What is that one spice/ flavor you can't live without?"

Many thanks to my twin, I'm her +1 :)

Us with Chef Anna!
You can watch her do her wonders in AFC's Bake with Anna Olson. Don't wanna miss this chance to have a picture with her!

Here's Shangrila's representative Leslie making her welcome speech to Ms. Anna

Imagine Ms. Anna cooking in front of us. Wow.

The first dish she prepared was Tortiere. It's a traditional Holiday treat in Canada made of ground meat combined with some special spices. Such a delicious pastry I must say :)

And Here's the exciting part. The Menu.
Look what was prepared for us and what went down to our stomachs :)) Oh the calories!

Chilled Grilled Seafood Salad
Indeed very fresh and appetizing

Sweet Potato Soup with Coconut Milk and Ginger
Interesting fusion of Flavors!

Arugula Salad with Pineapple, Pine Nuts and Piave Cheese
Super Yummy. Love the Cheese

Main Course:
Roasted Rack of Lamb with Date Salsa, Three Onion Couscous and Vegetable Tagine
Roasted to Perfection. I Highly Recommend it!

Of course, who would dare miss Dessert!
Warm Chocolate Orange Truffle Tart with Salted Caramel Sauce and
French Vanilla Ice Cream
Such a Sinful Treat!

But Wait! There's more....
Introducing The Sumptuous Dessert Buffet

And last but certainly not the least,
this was my Personal Favorite! :)

Some interesting facts about Chef Anna and her lifestyle:

-When it comes to food, Chef Anna believes that "What grows together goes together"
-In Canada, Calamansi juice is concentrated and she would love to take home lots of Calamansi if only there were no Customs to stop her.
-She loves Garlic. It is the ONE spice she just can't live without. We now know what's her secret to making such delectable dishes!
-She chooses her travel destinations based on Food. Ain't that interesting? What a passion.

Special Thanks to the one and only Ms. Anna Olson, Asian Food Channel and Edsa Shangri-La for making this Event possible :)

With love,
IamMyOwnStylist
