Summer Stripes

Hats out and time to let the summer heat sizzle.

A photo posted by Twinie Kaye Ng (@twiniekaye) on

Instead of wearing something colorful and laidback which you have already
seen in my previous posts (the default look for summer),
I've decided to go black just to break that norm.

Black can still be worn for summer when
paired with interesting patterns. I chose some frolic stripes to
accentuate my look and keep the summer vibe alive.

Pair it with your best smile and you're all set.
Simple as that :)

Of Lace and Stripes

Whoever said that suspenders only fit men should think again.
This classic borrowed-from-men style
can also be flattering in women when worn right.

When wearing suspenders,
it's important to choose a top that is fitted to create a more balanced look.
In fact, such an incredible piece already serves as your own personalized accessory.

I'd personally recommend a tone-on-tone look for a more feminine silhouette.
Make the colors blend in as if they were bought as a pair.

Another great way to create an eye-catching ensemble is by playing with
interesting textures and a mix of some so called graphics.
As they say, fashion is art.

Remember readers it's all about creating a look that you can call your own.
Sometimes there are styles that won't fit you, that's a given,
but it doesn't mean that you have to limit yourself from
experimenting further. Who knows, you might just like it.

What do you think about this look?

Benetton

If there's one thing I always encourage my readers to do,
it's to be creative and experimental.
So here's my Benetton Peg while we're at it.

Yes, you've guessed it right.
My Benetton Peg is inspired by the Brand United Colors of Benetton.
Benetton is known for combining both color and energy in their clothing line.
Hence, my take on their Sports Collection Line.

Though the shirt is not from Benetton,
I incorporated the brand's style to my look.
What do you think?

Believe it or not, I "stole" this top from my brother's closet. lol
I felt like challenging myself and going beyond my usual "girly" look.
The outcome turned out extremely well especially with the matching Aviator shades.

Sport this ensemble in a polo match or any sports-related event,
and you'll look ultra chic. This can be worn in casual days as well.

Always remember to try out new things especially in fashion.
Who knows, you might actually enjoy and look good with it.

If by any chance, the style doesn't fit you, then who cares,
one day won't kill you. At least you made different versions of thy self.

Experiment while young because when you reach a certain age,
people start to judge or ridicule what you wear.

Better know what makes you look like a bombshell early :)

Checkmate

Black and White. Neither shade goes out of style.
A timeless look that would look good with anyone.

For this look of mine, I wanted to create a bold graphic statement.
I wore a jumpsuit that is printed with stripes from head-to-toe.

Fashion Tip #1 : Wear VERTICAL stripes to elongate your body.
They are perfect for petite frames.

Fashion Tip #2 : Add an accent hue.
My recommendation is to go for RED.
Perhaps a red hair accessory, red pumps or a sultry red lipstick would do the trick.

Fashion Tip #3 : Walk with confidence and put on your best smile.
Make that first impression last.

Hope you like my post for tonight.

And oh before I forget, I would like you to meet my cat.
Isn't he cute? He reminds me so much of Puss in Boots
especially when he is sitting down and looking at me.
