Standing Tall

Being petite is not a walk in the park.
It's actually an insecurity that most girls like me have.
So I figured why not share with you some tips
on how to look tall sans the heels.

First is to observe proper posture
I know, I know, that's a given,
but most of time, we tend to forget. I myself plead guilty.

Second is to Wear Co-Ords.
It gives you a better silhouette by somehow elongating your legs.
To pull-off this look, I went for an ensemble that has an
interesting print and a side slit top and shorts terno.

Lastly, Shoot from below.
Bend as if you are to tie your shoelaces and see
how a change in perspective can recreate your look.

I hope these tips are helpful. After all, when you look tall,
you feel more confident about yourself.

Sharing some positivity and good vibes!

Nude & Neutral

Having just watched Tarzan a few weeks ago,
I figured why not create a look inspired by the beautiful Jane.

Jane's persona is ravishing so I went for a nude dress that is chic
and paired it with some strappy flats (a gift from my thoughtful sister)
to give my ensemble some oooomph.

Flats from Shana

When playing dressup, always remember to be original.
Don't be a copycat and reproduce a look as if it's your own creation.
Imagine yourself as a designer or stylist and let your creativity & personality flow.
In that way, people will be amazed and yet recognize the look as you.

Pretty in Pastel

Audrey Hepburn has always been known for her stylish flair.
So this time, I took a little inspiration from the style icon herself
to recreate a look that I can call as the Modern Audrey.

To add a little fun,
I didn't go for her signature look (Breakfast at Tiffany's),
that being of a little black dress and a cigarette holder.

Instead, I went for a more modern twist by sporting a
pastel colored dress with an eyeliner wand.
Props to creativity and being resourceful!
Say Hello to the new generation of stylists! lol :)

Always remember my dear readers that Style is Ageless.
You don't need to imitate someone to look great;
Learn to embrace your own style.

So why not take inspiration from my modern Audrey look and
recreate a beautiful silhouette out of soft patterns like so.

Love at First Sail

As promised, here comes Part 2 of the featured wedding celebration.
Get ready to Set Sail with Captain Jason and his First Mate Christine.

As we entered the ship, we were welcomed by this nautical set.

It was truly a night to remember.

From that first dance as a couple

To Endless kisses

And to Rekindled Friendship

These two are definitely going to have a long yet beautiful journey.
And yes, they have perfected the art of smiling.

For those who might be too shy to ask who did her gown,
I had a quick chat with the bride herself.
Christine is wearing a creation by Cecilio Abad.

And speaking of fashion, if you've read my previous post,
you would have noticed that I did an outfit change.

For the Reception, I wanted to sport a look that is
both earthy and elegant to embody a romantic vibe.

Instead of going for something lavish and intricate,
this time I went for an ensemble that is simple and understated,
the kind that will make you look fabulous, even without trying.

Pastel and Nude colors will always be one of my top choices because it
highlights my silhouette as well as brings out my skin's natural glow.
Finish the look with gold accents and a nude pair of heels :)

More photos before I call it a night.

Mi Amore

A few days ago, we gave mom the 'royal treatment' she deserves.
Aside from giving her some presents for Mother's Day,
our family took her out for dinner.

Being the stylist in me, a special occasion like so
made me want to look all glammed up.
If you've been following my blog,
Apartment 8 would always be one of my favorite go-to ensembles.

Their fashion pieces are classy yet timeless;
Chic yet feminine. Simply fashion forward for the modern you.
Take for instance this Apartment 8 Wrap Dress which allows you
to create endless styles ---brilliant in every way!

Creating my own version of a demi-goddess look,
I styled the front of my dress with
off-the-shoulder Ruched Straps, and a ribbon at the back.

That's just one of many ways I can style this maxi.
Perhaps, I'll save my other creations for another post.

Someday I do hope to get a chance to collaborate
with this brand (together with my twin of course).
Super love their dresses --- a style haven for every fashionista!

Just to give you some snippets about the celebration,
we had dinner at
BLACKBIRD at The Nielson Tower
Ayala Triangle Gardens, Salcedo Village Makati City

We ordered around six dishes but I'll only share two as you've definitely
have to try out this place. Food and Ambiance is just perfect!

Lasagna ala Blackbird

| Portobello Mushroom , Asparagus, Fontina, Truffle Oil |

Pizza Ala BlackBird

| Italian Sausage, Fennel, Tomatoes, Mozzarella and Chili |

Thanks Mom for all the love. I might not be good in expressing it,
but you definitely mean the world to me.

And of course, always thankful for the love of Family :)

Model Off-Duty

Before you judge, i'm not a model nor a superstar.
Although I do wish of becoming one,
sadly I don't have the looks nor the height.

But if ever there comes a day I'm given an opportunity
to be on print or media, then why not.
Honestly, I'd even do it for free :)

Up until today, I am very grateful that I was able to
somehow live the impossible dream.

If you've been following my blog,
then you would have read my post entitled Runway Dreams
wherein I got to model under Plains & Prints for the Glorietta Vibe event.

That moment was indeed surreal.
I pray that it's only the beginning of beautiful things to come.

If you share the same sentiments like I do,
three words: Pursue Your Dreams.

In fact, aside from my runway gig,
the closest I've had to achieving my dreams is my very own fashion blog.
It's not perfect but someday I hope to get my own share of the spotlight.

Now that you know my story, what better way
to live the moment than to take cue from models themselves.

My 'model off duty' look will focus on white pieces.
I'd go for a white offshoulder top paired with jeans and white sneakers.
For a chic yet sweet look, caps will definitely be part of my ensemble.

Special mention to my good friend Hannah for this beautiful top.
I feel fresh and au naturel, just the way I wanted!

Love,
