Lace on Lace

Ola! For my 3rd day in Hong Kong, we decided to make some surprise visit to our relatives.
Since it's more of a private gathering, I'll just share with you what I wore.

Creating a new trend: Lace over lace (why not!)
Looks so fresh like I just woke up from bed.

Since I wanted to look chic yet not too overboard,
I wore this lace top that I got from Soigné Clothing.

I paired it with my lace shorts from Taylor for that fun playful vibe.
Lately, you might have noticed that I have been wearing clothes from this
online store Soigné Clothing. Aside from the owner being my friend, I patronize her
clothes because it complements my liking for a sweet feminine look.

I accessorized by wearing this beautiful embellished necklace from Plains & Prints

and with this chic ring that I bought from Europe.

Remember that you can forget all the fashion rules except one.
Wear a smile on your face and
you will look more beautiful as ever.
Tried and tested by yours truly.

Here's a photo of us with grandpa!
He looks so cute with his formal look.
This can actually serve as a cover for some telenovela,
with just some minor touchups. (Harhar, just kidding!)

So here are few more photos

That's about it for now. Stay tuned for my upcoming post.
I think you'll love it.
To all my readers, keep dreaming and keep believing!

Sexy Back

As promised, here's my 2nd post of my travel series.
So this is what I wore during my 2nd day in Hong Kong.

Don't you just love my top?
I got it from Soigné Clothing, one of my recommended online shops for chic elegant wear.

The front may look simple but the back says it all.
I'm definitely bringing sexy back with this low back ribbon peplum.

I added a twist to my look by wearing an NBA Denver Nuggets cap.
It's the perfect topper for my eye-catching attire.

So now off to my Hong Kong recommendations.
If you haven't heard of or been to Charlie Brown Cafe, then you're in for a treat.
You'll definitely feel like a child again! Perfect for kids and kids at heart.

Just look at the interior of this place!
Perfect chill spot for hanging out with friends

Charlie Brown Cafe is located in Tsim Sha Tsui's Cameron Road.
So this is what we had for breakfast.

After which, off to more pictures

After an hour and a half, it was time for lunch.
Yes, I know, we eat a lot :)

We dined in a Chinese Restaurant near the vicinity.
The food was sumptuous.

Of course, I wouldn't miss one of my favorite dishes!
Peking Duck

For Dessert, we had some yummy treats.

Hope you enjoyed my post!
Stay tuned for my 3rd day in Hong Kong!

Avenue of Stars

Every time I travel, it's as if I brought my entire room with me.
Well, I've tried to pack light but who am I kidding, I never do.

Can you guess where I'm wearing this outfit to?

TO HONGKONG!

It's my second time to visit this beautiful country.
Knowing that I'd be walking a lot, I chose to wear a sleeveless top from Plains and Prints
and paired it with skinny jeans to create that comfortable yet stylish ensemble.
I just love the graphics of my top, it makes me feel so upbeat.

Oasis Top from the Berlin Collection of Plains and Prints

Accessorize it with a leather beret cap and voila,
you're ready to take Hong Kong by storm :))

Since I've visited Disneyland and Ocean Park in my former visit to HK,
this time around, I will show you my recommended places the next time you visit.

First Stop: Avenue of Stars

The Avenue of Stars is located in Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade.
The beauty of this place is it gives locals and tourists a stunning view of the harbor.

I highly suggest that you visit this place at night to fully capture its splendor.
Here are my buddies during this adventure: My twin and our cousin

The Avenue of Stars pays tribute and recognition to Hong Kong's rich cinematic tradition.

Here are the 2 must-see statues:

The very cute McDull
McDull is a male pig, a cartoon character created by Hong Kong artists Alice Mak an Brian Tse.
McDull has made several appearances in comic books, movies and television series.

And of course, don't leave Avenue of Stars without a photo op
with the life-size statue of Bruce Lee, the very famous Kung Fu Master.

What a night to remember!
Credits to our cousin for taking so many photos of us.
Cheers to experiencing the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Stay tuned for my Day 2 adventure in Hong Kong :)

Behold an Empress

Walk like an empress or dine like a king.
That's how Gloria Maris Greenhills treats their customers:
Like Royalty.

Last September 18, 2013, Gloria Maris did both.
They hosted a special event entitled Emperor's Banquet.
Priced at P2,000/pax, it was indeed an evening filled with surprises.

Imagine, celebrating a Chef's Night: A night like no other!
In fact, a First in the Philippines!

Before I show you some photos of the banquet proper,
time for my outfit shot!

I wanted to look chic yet elegant and I believe that the best way to get this look
is by wearing a long, loose silhouette of a maxi dress.

I'm wearing a dress from Apartment 8 Clothing
The fabric is so light that it moves with the wind.
The print is just stunning! Simply beautiful like a peacock!

The back design of my dress is absolutely sexy but I decided
to wear a black inner garment under it so that it won't be that revealing.
I had to go to the office before the event! I'm that busy :))

Since I have numerous business meetings to attend,
a corporate blazer is a must for the day.
Remember to dress appropriately whenever and wherever!

The beauty of this dress is that you can style it in a lot of ways!
My dress became shorter because I used a belt over it.
Be creative!

I bought some accessories along with me plus a black shawl and a gold clutch bag
to complete my ensemble for the night.

Hope you got some ideas on how to look like an Empress.
After dressing like one, all you've got to do is smile and enjoy the night.

Now time to give you a feel of the Royal Banquet

My 7-course meal
Fit for an Empress!

Salmon and Shrimp Paste filled Flower Pastry

Three-Treasure Boiled Coconut Soup

Sliced Duck with Honeydew and Cucumber

Sautéed Lobster with Wolfberry and Wild Mushrooms

Braised Home Made Spinach Skin Beancurd with Enoki Mushrooms

Every dish was a burst of different flavors.
The Chef certainly knows how to satisfy my palate.
Did I get you hungry? Fret not, the third series is just around the corner.
Entitled the Flaming Feast, Chef Ahwa will certainly spice-up your night!

Excited? I am. Come join me as we claim our throne in becoming kings and queens of the night
for another round of festivities this October 16, 2013 at Gloria Maris, 7:30 pm :)
Grab that royal ticket now.

My parting words?
Dress in style. Eat in style.
